After completing the implantation procedure, a scheduled examination of the patient by a specialist within the following periods is mandatory: one, three and seven months after the completion of the prosthetic work.
During these examinations, the doctor monitors the condition of the implanted product, signs of inflammation or rejection of the prosthesis, its functionality.
In the future, an annual inspection is necessary to identify possible abnormalities in articulation and occlusion, monitoring the wear of the crown part of the prosthesis, and oral hygiene in general. Radiologic examination of bone tissues at the site of the implant is also performed.
The duration of normal implant service depends on the condition of the patient as a whole, the quality of the work performed and the materials used, and is on average eight to twenty five years.
