- Before teething, brush the baby’s gums by swiping a clean, damp cloth over the baby’s upper and lower gums.
- When the child has the first teeth, start brushing them two or three times a day with a soft bristled toothbrush and water.
What can expect a child in the chest?
- Teething. At the age of 3 to 9 months, the child’s teeth begin to erupt. This process can cause irritation and nervousness in the baby, accompanied by anxiety, drooling and loss of appetite.
- Soothers. Sucking is an important part of the process of normal development of the child, it is especially good at soothing children in the first year of life. In fact, sucking has a calming effect even on older children, when there is already no need to get food from the breast or bottle.
- Bottle caries. Develops when tooth enamel is damaged by acid produced by bacteria from sugar contained in food and drink. This is especially dangerous in case of constant contact of the child with the bottle and, as a result, the constant flow of sugar into the oral cavity of the child. This leads to a rapid demineralization of enamel and, ultimately, to the formation of a carious cavity.
